The L.O.C method
The LOC method is an ideal way in helping your hair to retain  moisture to your hair. It has been known to keep the moisture in your hair, without having to reapply.

There is three very simple steps in helping you to utilising your hair products to help loc in that moisture.

L=liquid this is the first step to provide moisture, water helps you to manipulate your hair and this method will moisturise your strands. You can use any water-based conditioner leave-in, moisturings spritz that you have made in a bottle.

(I like to use a leave- in conditioner to provide moisture to my hair. I use Aphogee Curlific leave-in, its creamy and coats the hair well.

Purchased at Ace at £3.99
This product is a great water base leave-in that has Panthenol ingredient, that is great for moisturising, thickening and boosting the body of your hair.

O= Oil which is your second step to moisturing your strands, oil provides a protective layer that helps seal in your water in your hair. You can use Coconut oil, Extra virgin oil, Jojoba oil or whatever oil you prefer.

I use Coconut oil it is a light weight oil that is great for my low porosity hair. The components found in Coconut oil helps to keep hair strong, nourished and prevents premature aging, it helps to reduce protein loss especially on damaged strands. Coconutoil has levels of moisture retaining properties that helps to keep hair moist and soft.

Purchased from Paks £1.99

C= Cream your last step that seals in moisture and your oil, this layer provides extra protection and you can use heavier creams such as shea butter or lighter cream like Curls Creme Brule Whipped Curl Cream, which is very light in your hair smells amazing and you don't need a lot to use on your hair.

Many blogs quotes that this method works best on high porosity hair, due to the fact of using heavier oils that keeps hair moisturised much longer. Low porosity hair is prone to product build up and of course using heavier oils can leave hair feeling weighed down, limp and oily.

You can however use a much lighter oil in your hair or you can however skip the oil stage and use a slight heavier cream just a pea size, do what you prefer and works best for you.

I do this method for a couple of days, and it works for me, I put my hair in a protective style which helps to manipulate my hair less and keeps my ends especially moist.

What is your view on this method?
